The Art and Science of Wellbeing
Even in challenging times, humans have always found ways to employ their psychological resources not merely to survive but to thrive and flourish. Dive into the science of wellbeing to understand what research has taught about what constitutes a pleasurable life, a good life, and a meaningful life. This course focuses on individual, inter-personal and institutional wellbeing and explores frameworks for wellbeing developed over the last few decades. Learning about topics such as character strengths, positive emotions, meaning, relationships, compassion vs. empathy and mattering, participants will have the opportunity to engage in weekly positive interventions in order to apply the science of wellbeing to their everyday lives.
